Saturday, June 27th is our annual road cleanup day. Please meet by Gate 1 to sign in anytime from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Come meet other residents and enjoy drinks and treats at the gate before you begin.
A few reminders that were announced in the annual meeting:
- We will have a large dumpster dropped off by gate 1. This can be used to dispose of anything around your cabin that can’t be chipped by the Forest Service. If there’s something you’ve been needing to cleanup or git rid of, please take advantage of this opportunity.
- We’ll have members of the Board stationed at Gate 1 from 10:00am – 12:00am. Please come and sign-in and log hours so we can use your hours towards the DNR in-kind grants and service hours.
- The primary focus of the day should be cutting back and trimming around the Association Roads. If there are any blind corners or areas where branches are scraping against cars, you have Association approval to cut back vegetation up to 15 feet from the center of the road.
- We were able to acquire some Thistle spray (concentrate) so we will have it with us at Gate 1. If you have a sprayer, please come get some spray and help us spray the invasive thistle.
- As you trim along the Association roads, please stack chipping piles along the sides of the roads with the cut side of the branch facing the road. The chipping crew will be coming through starting on Monday, June 29th. Don’t forget you need to fill out the online waver before then. Here’s a direct link to the waiver: Central Area Chipping Permission Form
Thanks in advance for your help this weekend. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone and to getting our roads trimmed up.
