Lockbox Policy

Lockboxes create a security issue as they open up access to our association roads to anyone who has access to the lockbox. Lockboxes are commonly used by realtors selling property, or land owners leaving a key at the gate for family, friends and contractors. Given the potential for unauthorized access and the need to maintain orderly access, the following rules shall be applied to any lockbox:

  1. Lockboxes are to be clearly labeled with the owners name, lot number, and phone number so they may be contacted if their lockbox needs to be removed or is causing issues.
  2. Lockboxes should not be left in place more than 30 days without board permission as they are intended for short term access.
  3. If lockboxes are left by realtors, the realtor should be present to let the potential buyer into the area rather than have them visit the area alone.
  4. The association is not responsible for any lost or stolen lockboxes and/or keys.

Lockboxes that do not comply with the above rules are subject to be removed at the expense of the land owner.
