Our roads are the biggest part of the association annual budget. As an association it is important that we have policies in place to protect the association roads. The following policy has been put in place to ensure standardized trenching and protecting the roads and members properties.
- Landowners will need to submit a plan and written approval from any affected neighbors for board approval before any trenching is to begin.
- Trenches need to be contained in the road easement on the side of the road.
- If trenching affects the road the landowner must repair the road and warranty the repair for 1 year. Repair includes properly backfilling the trench and applying new road base and rock.
- Water lines and electrical conduits will need to be in different trenches.
- State and County guidelines should be followed on all trenching. Blue staking is required and should be done before digging.
- Anyone digging trenches will be responsible for ensuring proper drainage and ditches are preserved.
- The Association is not responsible for damages or injury as a result of the trenching.
